To go along with scanning photos, make notes of who is in the photos. I’ve recently been going through albums that belonged to my parents and grandparents and sadly alot of the older pictures I have no idea who many of the people are.

Excellent point. I have hundreds of photos I've inherited and have no way to know who is in them. On the one hand, it seems silly to keep photos of people to whom I have no emotional connection. But at the same time, it seems wrong to toss them out or give them away because I know they are family to me of one sort or another.

great articles,Thanks. Pictures to some sort of a way to save them, being almost 81. i have some of family , Last saturday i was at a funeral of a friend, He & wife had done just that. it was great to view many pictures of him & family off a video. love the idea
